The subject of our exhibit will be the History of Maine Fire Departments and Ambulance squad, focusing on the beginnings and the volunteer aspect of the organizations. The title of the exhibit will be "Emergency!" It will include artifacts, and photographs that will tell the story of the brave people who made it possible to protect Maine residents and their property.

On Sunday the museum will host a reception for all who have or had a connection with the Fire departments or emergency squad and anyone who can share their memories to be recorded and saved in the museum
archives. The Maine Fire Dept.#1 will display their restored vintage fire truck in front of the museum.

The front gallery will have an exhibit from local artist Marie Merihew.

There will be guided tours at Janet Bowers Museumat 13 Nanticoke Road, Schoolhouse #4 at 14 Nanticoke Road and Pitcher's Mill at 2819 NYS Route 26.
