Women voting in large numbers made lever voting machines, invented in the 1890s, commercially viable in the 1910s. Votomatic adapted IBM's punch cards to record votes from the 1960s to the early 21st century in many states, including Florida. Today, New Yorkers vote with Optical Scan Tabulators.
