In conjunction with Albany Institute of History & Art's Birds & Beasts exhibition, view a display of animal themed books and original prints by Dorothy Lathrop (1891-1980), an award winning illustrator of children's books who lived in Albany's Pine Hills neighborhood. Lathrop was awarded the inaugural 1938 Caldecott Medal as illustrator of that year's most distinguished picture book, Animals of the Bible.
