From furniture to literature and architecture, the daily lives of 19th-century New Yorkers were infused with ancient Greek art and history, an infusion and fascination which continues today. In conjunction with our new exhibit, Style, Myth and Modernity in Greek Revival New York, we invite you to a hands-on art and craft ceramic workshop centered on the motifs of ancient Greece. First, enjoy a curator-led Museum-wide tour to see and be inspired by objects from our Museum’s collection of Greek Revival décor in New York City. Then, dive in to our cachepot of materials to make Greek-influenced pendants and objects of your own. Adults are invited. $20 Adults, $15 Members and Students with ID.
