Long before the vinifera grape was growing in the Finger Lakes, hops, used in brewing beer, was the major cash crop. In the late 19th century, central New York was the largest producer of hops in the nation. To honor the traditional celebration after the long harvest, the South Bristol Historical Society hosts the annual Hops Harvest Dinner & Dance to benefit the Roof Replacement Fund.
Dinner, music, and a cash bar, as well as raffles and a silent auction with plenty of exciting goods and services from local merchants, including the Finger Lakes Barn Quilt trail!
Tickets $30, Dance only, $10.
