This exhibit, presented by the Ulster County Clerk’s Office, features some of the many ceramic artifacts found in the 2001 Archaeological Excavation at the Persen House. Explore the many types of ceramics found in the archaeological dig, including tin-glazed earthenware, stoneware, redware, porcelain and more. Learn about which types of ceramics were functional and which were ornamental. Step back in time and discover more about Kingston’s first European settlers.
