Troy has been tied to RPI from the very founding of the school in 1824, and has been instrumental in developing the institution. Co-founder Amos Eaton lived here and rests in Oakwood. Eight of her citizens became President, and dozens have served as Trustees and officers. Many of the major local industrialists trace their education to the school, as do a number of other famous alumni. Come enjoy a walking and driving tour as we discuss the nearly 200 year history of the first degree granting engineering school in the US. Co-sponsored with the Friends of Oakwood Cemetery.
