The Chapman Historical Museum welcomes you to visit this small exhibit of Seneca Ray Stoddard's original photos featuring street scenes of the 1870s and 1880s. Included in the exhibition are images of the main commercial district, as well as residential streets and landmarks. Of special note are rare views of the first Catholic church and Elmwood Academy. The Chapman Museum in downtown Glens Falls features the restored Victorian home of the DeLong family, the 19th century Adirondack photographs of Seneca Ray Stoddard, and the history of the Glens Falls area, as well as a research archive and a gift shop. The museum is closed Monday and major holidays.
