To celebrate the Town of Woodstock's 400-year history in the field of music, during 2019 the Historical Society of Woodstock will present performances, concerts and panel discussions to complement the summer-long exhibit, "Woodstock Music: In Tune with the Times, 1600-Present". The exhibit, open Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 pm, travels through time from the music of the Northern Delaware tribes of the 1600's to the musicians of today. In addition to indigenous music, church hymns, songs of 19th century workers, music of the early 1900's art colony, mid-century folk music, and the explosion of folk, rock and contemporary music in the 1960's and 70's will be included.
