At the Adirondack Experience in Blue Mountain Lake, visitors can explore how people have lived, worked, traveled and played in the Adirondacks from the 19th century up to today. Its 65,000 square foot campus features exhibitions housed in 22 modern and historic buildings, as well as an outdoor pond, kids recreation area, fire tower, and schoolhouse. One of America's finest outdoor museums, it was called, "the best of its kind in the world," by the New York Times.
