Details

Broome County carousels located in several local area parks in the Greater Binghamton area are among the fewer than 170 antique carousels still in existence in the US and Canada. They were created by New York carousel maker Allan Herschell and donated to the public between 1919 and 1934 by George F. Johnson, shoe manufacturer and benefactor. Visitors can ride the carousels from Memorial Day to Labor Day free of charge.
