Built in 1832, this elegant brick and white marble townhouse is one of the city`s finest examples of residential architecture of the period. It was home to the Tredwells, a wealthy merchant-class family who lived in the house with their servants for almost 100 years. Complete with the family`s original furnishings and personal possessions, including furniture, decorative arts, photographs, and books, the house offers a rare and intimate glimpse of domestic life in New York City from 1835-1865.
