Details

Raynham Hall Museum is the home of Robert Townsend, a member of the famed Culper Spy Ring, conceived and operated by George Washington as an indispensible part of his plan to defeat the far more battle-worthy British forces. The Colonial part of the house is interpreted as it would have appeared during its occupation by British officers from 1777 through 1779. The rear addition of the house dates from 1955, and includes Victorian Gothic furnishings.
