Located in the downtown 2nd Street Historic District, Rensselaer County Historical Society offers visitors many opportunities for learning. Its extensive object collections include 19th century furniture, paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, costumes, textiles, and militaria. The RCHS also manages and administers the largest local history library, archives and research center in Rensselaer County.
