The Saratoga Springs History Museum is the only museum dedicated to preserving the history of Saratoga Springs, one of the nation’s most iconic cities. The organization has served the community since 1883 as a museum, repository, and research center. Located on three floors of the 1870 Canfield Casino, in Congress Park, the History Museum preserves a collection of 16,000 objects that range from the 1802 Gideon Putnam Tavern sign, to Victorian dresses, and ephemera from the mineral springs and beyond. We also preserve the George S. Bolster Collection. This nationally recognized archive contains over 375,000 photographic negatives of Saratoga Springs, 1855-1980.
