Details

The Schuyler County Historical Society`s Lee School Museum, on the National Register of Historic Places, is a one-room schoolhouse built in 1828, and the oldest brick structure in Schuyler County. The red barn-style painted clapboard one-room schoolhouse was typical to the mid-to-late 19th century farming communities of New York State. It contains a large wood burning stove, school desks, books, blackboards and an antique world globe, exhibited almost exactly as it would have been run in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
