Details

Built in 1892, the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building served as both a memorial to soldiers who died in the Civil War and as the Huntington Public Library until 1958.  The spectacular building was given to the Historical Society in 2000.  After eight years of restoration, the building was opened to the public as a museum, exhibit space and visitor's center.
