Central New York

Premiere art museums, the home of America’s first literary success and the Baseball Hall of Fame are just a few of the things that await visitors to the Central Region.  The region played an important role in the fight to end slavery in America, and has a military history dating back to the 18th century. Its rural heritage, connection with Native American culture and link to New York's canals are also on display for visitors. While touring historic sites, travelers can also visit Syracuse University and watch some of its nationally ranked sports teams or see what’s new at the State Fairgrounds.
